Dreams of Curing People

Our latest entry for the ‘Mumtaz Embroiders her Dreams’ contest was sent by 8 year old Muskan Singh from Mumbai. In his email to us Muskan’s teacher Ankit Saraf says, “I am sending the dream of a child in my class. I am a Teach For India fellow and teach in a low income private school here in Mumbai. These kids are always devoid of any opportunities as these are slum kids, I am sending this e-mail on behalf on her. I hope you include the same (I haven’t helped her in writing this).”

Muskan writes :

Kids at the launch event calling for more teachers, doctors and nurses

“When I grow up, I wish to become a doctor. In my village there are very few hospitals. So after finishing my studies, I will do the doctor degree. After that I will open a hospital where I will help poor people by providing them free treatment. In this way, I will fulfill my duty of helping poor people. I want to become doctor because doctor is a very important person in this world. In the hospital, a doctor examines the patients and gives them medicines to get well. That is why I like doctors and my dream is to become a doctor.”

If you work with children too, help them write and share their dreams with us and encourage them to participate in the ‘Mumtaz Embroiders her Dreams’ contest. Send in your entries soon.
