Teacher-training Workshop on ‘Using Storytelling in the Classroom’

We received news about this workshop in an email sent to us by Chintan. Thank you Chintan!

Hippocampus, in association with The Teacher Foundation, presents a 2-day Teacher-training Workshop on ‘Using Storytelling in the Classroom’ by Richard Martin.

Do you believe that storytelling forms an integral part of children’s early life? That it can be used for not only language learning but also to help students develop creativity? Are you interested in activities that are relevant to your curriculum and will enrich teaching methods? Then this hands-on workshop is for you.

It gives me great pleasure to inform you about the 2-Day Workshop – Using Storytelling in the Classroom presented by Hippocampus in association with The Teacher Foundation in Bengaluru & Chennai. This workshop is being conducted by Richard Martin, Teacher & Storyteller based in Germany. He is in India to participate in HOO’s Tales – an International Storytelling Festival – held annually by Hippocampus.

Richard Martin was born in 1949 – and believes it must be the storytelling which keeps him looking so young. He spent most of his childhood in Cheshire and went to Liverpool University in 1970, where he studied History and Politics. Richard began to teach in North Devon town with primary school children but soon decided to move to Germany – where he continues to teach and tell stories. He believes that storytelling is one of the most powerful things in the world; that storytelling should be part of teaching; that many other teachers want to use storytelling in their classrooms too.

Do confirm your participation as soon as possible – we have limited seats available. For further details you can call TTF at 41231149/41131930 .
