Apply For The Early Readers Library Grant

“I don’t believe in the kind of magic in my books. But I do believe something very magical can happen when you read a good book.”
? J.K. Rowling
At Pratham Books, we believe in the magic of books and are presenting organizations with an opportunity to receive not one book…but a library of books! Why libraries? Because according to the ASER Survey 2014 – “School enrolments are at an all-time high of 96.7%, but 52% of children in Standard 5 in government schools cannot read Standard. 2 level text”. As a child starts facing difficulties of reading, she starts slipping behind in her grades. Thus, providing joyful reading material for first generation learners in a language of their choice is what we are trying to do.
If you are an organization that works with children we invite you to apply for an Early Readers’ Library Grant*.
100 classroom libraries will be donated to organizations/schools working with children from low-income communities
Each classroom library comes in a modular storage unit and contains 100+ books in Hindi, English, Kannada, Tamil, or Marathi.
