Saffron Tree has come a long way since its inception. Showcasing the best of Indian, Indian American and a variety of other children’s books, Saffron tree has been actively promoting reading among children. This not-for-profit organisation shares and connects with the world with a single passion- a passion to promote reading children’s books!

Independent in its voice and with an awesome collection of hand picked books, Saffron Tree strives to ensure that they spread the joy of reading. CROCUS – their annual book blog festival celebrates reading of culturally unique stories. On this ocasssion they also went a step ahead to show their support to another non-profit organisation Kranti — an NGO thats works with daughters of sex workers.

On the occasion of Children’s day Saffron Tree plans to go on a book drive. You can be a part of this drive too. Please email Katie at Kranti [email protected], with the subject line: Attn – Books for Kranti and/or [email protected], and they will help you with the rest. If you are ordering new books for Kranti online, please make sure you get the address information and other details, for you to ship the books directly to them.
