Periodic Table Printmaking Project

Art meets science at the Periodic Table Printmaking Project. Ninety-seven printmakers of all experience levels, have joined together to produce 118 prints in any medium; woodcut, linocut, monotype, etching, lithograph, silkscreen, or any combination. The end result is a periodic table of elements intended to promote both science and the arts.
Go take a look at some of the beautiful works of art that have emerged from this project. Most of the entries have a short snippet on the element (and some have really interesting information too) and on how the print was made. Here are some samples from the project:
