Book Review : Cheenu’s Gift

A few months ago we were giving out review copies of few of our books. We were excited to hear what all of you thought of our books (the good things and the bad things!) and hope that this feedback from people (educators, parents, book lovers, children) will help us create better books and help you choose books for your own kids.
The thing with a Pratham Books’ publication is that, every time you see it, you pick it up, flip its pages, look at the illustrations, read a bit of story, smile and keep it back. Only to repeat the process later. Cheenu’s Gift is no exception.
A day in the life of Cheenu includes going to school, helping his father and reading books. Simple story about the life of simple people. But detailing in the drawings is lovely. The characters become adorable right from the cover. Colours fill your eyes. Warmth of the story strikes instantly. Smile remains on your face while you wonder how Cheenu will turn out to be with his love for books. Yes, he also reads Pratham Books.
With some Telugu words in it, story is by Sridala Swami and illustrations done by Sanjay Sarkar.
