The Art of the Book celebrates Seagull’s passion for good design through a recent series of digital collages and book covers created by our designer Sunandini Banerjee. Celebrating 28 years in publishing, Seagull Books cordially invites you to the opening of

Training program for people working with children through drama in Delhi
Playing-2-Teach is a part-time, 3-months long workshop-cum-training program intended for those who are interested in working with children through the medium of drama. The program is divided into two key components:
1) a 3-weeks long period of observing children at play in different settings, and,
2) a 9-weeks long period of theoretical and practical training where participants will explore various techniques of working with children that are educational AND fun.
To be eligible, one must have either some experience of working with children, or a background in theater & drama, or a background in education. 8 seats are available in this program.
The program will be conducted by the staff of Yellowcat Co. which works exclusively with children and young people using the medium of theater.

Teaching about children’s rights
Most curricula aim to equip pupils with the knowledge and skills they need to become rounded, informed and responsible citizens in society.
Article 29 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child states the purpose of education is the “preparation of the child for responsible life in a free society, in the spirit of understanding, peace, tolerance, equality of sexes and friendship among all peoples, ethnic, national and religious groups and persons of indigenous origin.”
Teaching children and young people about the Convention means that they can find out about the legal and human rights and responsibilities that underpin society.
