3. AGATHA CHRISTIE’S HOME OPENS DOORS (Via Yahoo News)

The English holiday home where Agatha Christie spent her summers and entertained guests with readings from her thrillers is opening to the public for the first time.
Craftsmen have worked for two years to restore the house, Greenway, to gleaming 1950s condition. The rooms remain much as they were when the mystery writer lived there, complete with books, papers, boxes of chocolates and flowers.


4. ENID BLYTON’S BIOPIC (Via guardian.co.uk)

…BBC4 has given the green light to a biopic of children’s author Enid Blyton.
The corporation has confirmed that a single 90-minute drama charting the life of Blyton, creator of Noddy, the Famous Five, the Secret Seven and fantasies such as The Magic Faraway Tree will go into production shortly.
“I think her approach to life was quite childlike and she could also sometimes be almost spiteful like a teenager,” her daughter, Imogen Smallwood, said in a radio interview last year when discussing how the author was affected by her father abandoning his young family.
