Remembering Shri Amar Goswami

We are very sorry to receive the sad news of the passing away of Shri Amar Goswami on 26th June, 2012. Senior author, journalist and translator, he wrote many of our popular titles such as Tap Tap Tapak, Sair Sapata and Badalon ki Ice Cream. He will be missed by the Hindi literary fraternity and by his many appreciative readers. His books for children were very popular and have run into several editions. He was kind enough to come to us to Allahabad when we did a children’s writing workshop in collaboration with NBT and was a kind and creative mentor to many children as they took their first fumbling steps in the world of writing stories. The book that came out of the workshop was called Hamari Pratham Kahaniyan and we owed Amar Goswami a debt of gratitude for helping in the process.
Our condolences to his family and we join them in prayers for his soul finding peace.
