The films to be screened at the festival include Bettadapurada Ditta Makkalu, Naanu Gandhi and Ekalavya (Kannada), King Siri and Bindu (Sri Lanka ), Stars in the Estuary (USA), Child and the Angel (Iran), Walking to School and Magical Tortoise (China) and A Duelo, an animation film from Mexico. As many as 79 movies are scheduled to be screened over the span of six days in Bangalore. The movies will be screened across three theatres in the City.
The Childrens India organisation that is spearheading the festival, has also arranged special screening sessions at the Movieland theatre concentrating on Chinese movies. “The movies will showcase the best of children’s movies from China, under the “China Focus” special screening sessions,” announced Nanjunde Gowda from the organisation.

A special feature of this festival will be a separate section of films on Environment at the Balbhavan from 9th to 13th January at 12 noon everyday; luminaries on environment from different parts of the country will participate in the seminar on 11th January. The country focus in this festival in China. From 8th to 13th at 12 noon everyday only Chinese films will be screened in Movie land theatre. Apart from this, an Animation Workshop will be held at ‘Yavanika’, Nrupatunga Road on 8th and 9th of January in two batches daily from 9 to 12 and 1 to 4Pm.
