Zapped : Aditi Dilip’s Witty Story for the #6FrameStoryChallenge

The bright pink of the desert. The moon surrounded by a sea of glittering stars. Cactus’ annoyed expression in the last frame. These are a few of the reasons why we were drawn to ‘Zapped’, Aditi’s witty 6-frame story. In fact, this is exactly the kind of narrative that would leave a big grin on any child’s face, don’t you think?
This is the first time Aditi has conceptualized and illustrated a narrative, so she found the experience both challenging and fun. We genuinely hope that this has inspired Aditi to weave many more stories.
About participating in the #6FrameStoryChallenge, she says:

“I signed up for this challenge because I really believe in the positive power of a reading habit, especially for children. And to contribute in some way to this effort is a great opportunity for me as an illustrator + designer as well as a book lover. I enjoyed the idea of constructing a character and a story within the set restraints, which ironically didn’t prove to be limiting at all.”

(Aditi Dilip graduated from NID as a graphic designer and worked with a design studio for a couple of years. The desire to start an independent career became irresistible though, and after two years she ventured out on my own. She has been an independent designer and illustrator for the past four years, and has been lucky to engage with wonderful clients from varied fields. She works at a shared workspace/studio that she co-founded in Bangalore and turns to self-driven illustration projects as often as she can.
