“The First Time I Have Completed So Many Illustrations in Such Little Time”- Shikha Nambiar on the #6FrameStoryChallenge

Shikha Nambiar’s entry for the #6FrameStoryChallenge is aptly titled, “Finding the Stars.” It took us all of one glimpse of her frames to get whisked away into her magical world of boat rides at dusk and bonfires on starry nights!
Shikha told us she got to know about the challenge a little late and had to “literally race against time to complete it.” We are glad that she managed to submit such fantastic work just in the nick of time!

Here’s what she said:

“I completed the last 3 frames in one single day, which I am rather proud of. The most difficult part of this challenge was to firstly, pick the words I wanted to illustrate and secondly, to complete the first frame. Once that was sorted, the next frames got done rather smoothly. Also, the sneak peeks into everyone else’s work was great motivation to complete the challenge. This was undoubtedly a great way to start 2015! I have always wanted to illustrate for story books and found this to be the perfect opportunity to do so. This was a great initiative by Pratham Books to get so many talented people to come together and showcase their skills.”
