Mumtaz embroiders her dreams. So can you!
On the occasion of National Girl Child Day [January 24th], Pratham Books is proud to launch its new book ‘Mumtaz Embroiders Her Dreams’. Set in festive Lucknow, it tells the story of young Mumtaz, who learns new stitches for the chikankari that she does. Thanks to her friend Munna, Mumtaz dreams and learns even more than she had imagined! If you are a girl between 8 and14 years and you have have a dream that you would like to fulfil, take part in our contest. Write to us and tell us what your dream is, why it is so important to you, in less than 200 words. And boys, you can also take part in this contest and just like how Munna helps Mumtaz to dream, you too can help! If you know a girl between 8 and14 years, ask her about her dream. Email your dream note to us by 20th January to contest@prathambooks.org. All entries will be posted on our blog and the top 5 entries chosen by our editorial team will get book hampers. We don’t promise, but if there are dreams that we can help fulfil we will try our best.P.S. No dream is too small to be talked about, no dream is too big that it can’t be fulfilled. So dream, girl, dream!
This book will be launched in Bangalore. We shall have the details on our blog soon. So, keep an eye on this space and we hope to see you at the event.
