India’s First Digital Archive of Feature Films

India’s first-ever digital archives of feature films and documentaries from across the globe has been set up in Goa. Around 130 films including in Marathi, Portuguese, Hindi, English, Konkani, Assamese, Bengali, French and Italian languages are now available at a click of a button. It also comprises of old classics like Sant Tukaram and Shejari, which are donated to ESG by its well wishers. “Owner of Prabhat Talkies, Damale family, has given us nine films free of cost with archival and screening rights,” Srivastava said, adding Portuguese consulate has also donated a bouquet of 20 films.
