‘Balika Shivir’ is a ten minute film which highlights the need for educating the girl child. Shot in Rajasthan, it is directed by the children who attend an educational camp held for illiterate girls.

The film focuses on a unique six-month residential education camp for illiterate girls in rural Rajasthan. Besides imparting formal education to the Class V level in only six months, the programme also promotes concepts such as health and personal hygiene.
