Suzanne Singh has been associated with Pratham Books since its inception in 2004. She was the Managing Trustee of the organization from 2010 and has been Chairperson since January 2014. A management graduate, she spent several years in the corporate sector before moving into the development sector. She also serves on the Boards of Akshara Foundation and United Way Bengaluru.
Mr. Ashok Kamath, Trustee
Ashok Kamath is one of the Co-founders and a Trustee of Pratham Books. An alumnus of IIT-Bombay, he was formerly the Managing Director of the Indian operations of Analog Devices. He opted to leave behind a succesful career in the corporate sector and involve himself in the development sector. His alma mater, IIT-Bombay, presented him with its Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2013 for his various initiatives and contributions to the field of child education. He is currently Chairman of Akshara Foundation.
Ms. Rekha M Menon, Trustee
Rekha M Menon has been associated with Pratham Books as its co-founder and trustee since 2004. She is the Chairman of Accenture in India responsible for growing Accenture's business and strengthening the company's presence in communities across India. A gold medalist from the XLRI School of business and a member of the Board of Governors of XLRI, she has over 24 years of industry experience. She is involved with many not for profits including as a trustee of Akshara Foundation.
Ms. Kanchan Bannerjee, Trustee
A sociologist, trained in communications and teaching children with learning disabilities, Kanchan Bannerjee works closely with children and librarians in understanding reading needs. She has also authored a few of our books. She is also Managing Trustee of the Akshara Foundation.
Prof. M.S. Sriram, Trustee
Professor Sriram is Faculty at the Centre for Public Policy, IIM Bangalore and a Visiting Professor at IIM Udaipur. He is also a Distinguished Fellow of Institute for Development of Research in Banking Technology – set up by RBI. In the past he was the ICICI Bank Lalita Gupte Chair Professor of Microfinance, and Chairperson Finance and Accounting Area at the IIM Ahmedabad; on the faculty of IRMA, and Vice President of Basix. He has also taught at the Solvay Brussels School of Business and Economics. Sriram is a co-author of three Books - Beyond Micro-credit published by Sage-Vistaar and two books on Flow of Credit to Small and Marginal Farmers. Sriram has served on several committees set up by GoI, RBI and NABARD. He is currently on the External Advisory Committee of the Reserve Bank of India for granting licences to Small Finance Banks. He is also on the board of NABFINS, NDDB Dairy Services and Centre for Budget and Policy Studies, and a Trustee of Pratham Books and Dastkar Andhra. Sriram also writes fiction in Kannada. He has published five books of fiction and three books of essays in Kannada.
Mr. Srikanth Nadhamuni, Trustee
Srikanth Nadhamuni is a technologist and entrepreneur with over 23 years experience in the chip design, internet technologies and eGovernance industries. Having completed his Masters in the US, Srikanth spent 14 years with several global companies in the California’s Silicon Valley. Currently the Advisor to UID Authority of India and Chief Executive Officer, Khosla Labs.
Mr. R Sriram, Trustee
Better known as the Crossword co-founder, Sriram helps entrepreneurs and enterprises create, deliver and capture values. He serves on the boards of several non-profits and for-profits. He is curious about many things; he also likes to travel and to photograph birds.
